Alkaloid AD cooperation with fund for innovation and technology development for financial support based on ‘co-financed grants for improvement of innovation’ measure
Alkaloid AD has responded to the public call announced by the Fund for Innovation and Technology Development, applying for a grant based on the ‘Co-financed Grants for Improvement of Innovation’ measure.
The Fund has approved our project ALKA 0P, with a total project budget of MKD 24,228,300.00, of which the Fund will co-finance MKD 14,536,980.00. The project will be realized in the period 15 March 2019 – 15 March 2020.
The aim of the project is development of a formulation for a new drug which is not present in the Macedonian market. This project should provide evaluation of a candidate formulation (via conducting clinical trials on volunteers) in order to continue further development and subsequently a Registration Decision.
Major project activities include:
Conducting in vivo clinical trial on determining bioequivalence with originator formulation and
Procurement of equipment for in vitro assessment of the formulation (technological platform).
Following the implementation of this project, supported by the Government and the Innovation Fund, we expect to have the defined prototype on which further steps will be planned regarding development of a final product which could be launched in the markets of Republic of North Macedonia and Europe, in accordance with ALKALOID AD practices and the effective legislation.
