Snezhana Petrovska:

Be proud to become part of the Alkaloid family.

1. How do you remember your first day at the company?

My first day at Alkaloid was also my first day at work after graduating from the Faculty of Medicine in Skopje. Above all, it was a day filled with joy and excitement, but also with a degree of uncertainty, as I was entering a new field outside of clinical practice. Looking back today, my memory of that first day remains unforgettable, particularly because of the positive atmosphere, team spirit, and support from more experienced colleagues, which was especially important for my transition into the new role and further professional development.

2. What has changed the most from your early days with the company?

There is a significant difference in my job responsibilities between the early days of my career and today. My first role 25 years ago was as a Medical Representative for Alkaloid’s portfolio. A key turning point in my professional development came 14 years ago, when I began leading a team of physicians responsible for providing medical support for prescription medicines. This was followed by several changes and restructurings, which led to the establishment of the sector I manage today – Global Medical and Safety. Today, my responsibilities are considerably broader and include managing teams and processes related to the expansion and maintenance of Alkaloid’s portfolio from a medical perspective, with the aim of achieving the company’s strategic objectives. I am particularly proud that we have built teams comprising top professionals, with whom it is a genuine pleasure to work!

3. What motivated you to stay, develop and grow together with the company?

A strong motivation for my professional growth and development has always been, first and foremost, my desire to work at Alkaloid – a company that offers continuous learning and development, recognizes and values employees’ efforts, and fosters a strong sense of belonging. My trust in the system and the company’s values, under the guidance of a leader with a clear vision and strategy, gives me an additional sense of security and stability and genuinely motivates and inspires me in my everyday work.

4. What has remained unchanged for you throughout all your years at Alkaloid?

Alkaloid is a company built by generations of employees and founded on honesty, integrity, dedication, team spirit, and mutual respect. Despite the continuous changes and improvements to our processes over the years, care for employees has always remained a top priority. This is the value that has remained unchanged, because at Alkaloid, people always come first!

5. What message would you like to share with new employees who are just starting their careers at Alkaloid?

Be proud to become part of the Alkaloid family. Work responsibly, with dedication and integrity, and nurture team spirit and respect for your colleagues. Success comes with patience, continuous effort, integrity, and loyalty to the company, which offers many opportunities for professional growth and development. Make the most of these opportunities, and trust in your own development journey.

6. Is there anything you would do differently or change about your time at Alkaloid?

I am satisfied with the way I have built my professional career and with the knowledge and skills I have acquired over the years. Nevertheless, I believe there is always room for improvement. With the experience, knowledge, and self-confidence I have today, I find it easier to navigate everyday challenges and make decisions with greater confidence.
