ACTION

Betadine mouth and wash rinse solution as an active agent contains povidone iodine, a complex compound of polyvinilpyrrolidone and iodine. This complex is iodophor, in which polyvinilpyrrolidone acts as iodine carrier and enables its solubility in water. In contact with mucous membrane, iodine is released slowly from the complex and acts as an antiseptic, i.e. disinfectant against bacteria, fungi, protozoa and spores. Betadine solution also acts like a deodorant, removing the bad breath resulting from food, alcohol, tobacco etc.

INDICATIONS

Prophylaxis and treatment of buccopharyngeal cavity infections caused by bacteria, viruses and fungi (gingivitis, stomatitis, aphthas, infected ulcerations or herpetic ulcerations);

Prophylaxis and infections in dental and jaw surgical interventions; Bad breath removal.
