A delegation from the French Embassy headed by His Excellency Ambassador Cyrille Baumgartner paid a working visit to Alkaloid AD Skopje. The purpose of the visit of the French diplomat, hosted by the CEO and President of the Management Board, Mr. Zhivko Mukaetov, was the introduction of the company’s operation, its product portfolio, and its market placements and activities.

The officials were also introduced to the numerous investments that Alkaloid has continuously realized over the years, its future development plans, as well as the broad range of activities and projects in the field of ​​environmental protection, education and social responsibility projects, as one of the highest priorities of the company’s business strategy.

The focus of the working meeting was the main strategic commitment of the company – its firm orientation to export and globalization of the Alkaloid brand. Considering that over 65% of the company’s product placement is for export, strengthening of existing and expanding of new exports is extremely important.

Apart from Alkaloid’s operation and its future plans, Ambassador Baumgartner had the opportunity to also get acquainted with the company’s manufacturing facilities, the state-of-the-art technological equipment at the Research and Development Institute, and the professional staff managing the processes in Pharmaceuticals.

French pharmaceutical market follows strict regulations, especially when it comes to prescription drugs covered by national budget that make up 30% of the total consumption of medicines in the French market of pharmaceuticals. Highly developed French pharmaceutical industry accounts for about 3% of the total production of medicines globally. Alkaloid has established long-term successful cooperation with a number of leading French pharmaceutical companies, including Sanofi Aventis, Sanofi Winthrop Industrie, Ethypharm, Saint Gobain, and many other globally recognized companies.
