Macedonian president Ivanov visits new factory in Belgrade
Mr Gjorgje Ivanov, the President of the Republic of Macedonia, visited the new production facilities of Alkaloid AD in the vicinity of Belgrade, as part of his official visit to the Republic of Serbia.
During the show-round of the drug production plant, part of Alkaloid Ltd. Belgrade, Mr Zivko Mukaetov, General Manager and President of the Management Board of Alkaloid AD-Skopje, informed the Head of the Republic of Macedonia about the production capacities, the operations and development plans of this € 750,000 investment of the Alkaloid abroad, first of this kind, constructed in compliance with the rigorous GMP standards.
Alkaloid Ltd. Belgrade received the license for primary and secondary production issued by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia in September 2010, and this production facility has marketed more than 30 pharmaceutical products with proven quality aimed for several therapeutic groups. At present, the facility has the capacity of nearly 23 million blister-packs at an annual level, but according to the business development plans of Alkaloid AD-Skopje it is due for further enlargement and upgrading.
