Action

Nifuroxazide belongs to the group of antidiarrheal and anti-inflammatory/anti-infective agents. Although intended for systemic use, nifuroxazide acts locally in lower intestines and shows very low systemic absorption. Activity is due to the presence of nitro group (NO2) in the molecule, which is extremely electron-reactive.

Indication

Short-term treatment of acute bacterial diarrhea caused by Gram-positive Streptococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus pyogenes as well as Gram-negative Escherichia coli, Salmonella and Shigella.

10 capsules packed in blister, in cardboard box with PIL inside.
