After several years of successful presence and operation on the Romanian market, Alkaloid AD Skopje has registered a new company - Alkaloid Bucharest S.R.L.. Alkaloid is the new company’s whole owner.

It is part of Alkaloid’s long-term development and business strategy. It helps pursue its key strategic goals to globalise the Alkaloid brand, aiming to strengthen its current position as an exporter, especially in the European Union.

As more than 65% of the company's production goes for exports, being present in the EU markets and expanding to new ones is exceptionally important. The newly opened company is the seventh established in an EU member country.

Alkaloid is present in Romania with a range of pharmaceutical products, including a haemodialysis programme consisting of several product groups. In 2021, Alkaloid had 212,5 million Denars in sales in Romania, while in the first half of 2022, the sales grew by 140% on a year-over-year basis.

Registering the new company is another step towards achieving Alkaloid’s main strategic goal of developing the business structures of a stable export-oriented company.
