Alkaloid receives first prize for social responsibility from CIRa

The Center for Institutional Development (CIRa) awarded Alkaloid this year’s prize for complete commitment to social responsibility for the main projects that are as follows: introduction of a corporate newspaper “Health above All” by Alkaloid, as a method to improve and modernize the internal communication within the company; provision of scholarships through Trajche Mukaetov Foundation to students from Pharmaceutical and Medical Faculty at Sts. Cyril and Methodius University; carrying out the action “Be my Friend”, in cooperation with the Anti-Cancer Association “Borka – For Each New Day” and funding allocated for equipping the Pediatric Oncology Department at the Clinical Center in Skopje; receiving the Integrated Environmental License by the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, as well as for continued investment in education and development of employees.

These projects are part of the social responsibility policy and tradition of Alkaloid. Caring about society and the environment, and their promotion and development are priorities in the mission of the company, through its socially responsible behavior and full dedication to realizing socially responsible projects, to raise the standards in the approach of the entire business community.

Marking the 5-year jubilee since its formation, last year CIRa also awarded Alkaloid two prizes, in Employment Relations and Environment Relations categories.

The company was awarded this year’s prize during the traditional sixth ceremony, when philanthropy and social responsibility prizes for 2012 were awarded.
