At this year’s General Assembly of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), Zhivko Mukaetov, CEO and President of the Management Board of Alkaloid AD Skopje, was elected as a new member of its Board of Directors. AmCham serves as a platform for networking, exchanging experiences, sharing best business practices, and advocating for the interests of its members, currently exceeding 140 entities in the country.

"Alkaloid has been a member of the American Chamber of Commerce since 2000, and one of its patrons since 2013. The company has taken part in numerous AmCham committees and task forces, including the Healthcare Committee, the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, the Donation and Sponsorships Task Force, the Intellectual Property Rights Task Force, the Workforce Development Committee any many others related to Alkaloid’s operations. Together with AmCham, we have supported and participated in many significant events in the country, such as the Skopje Economic and Finance Forum (SEFF) in 2022 and 2023, info sessions on the possibilities to finance companies, trade missions, and B2B activities with international delegations and others.

As one of the leading Macedonian exporters, Alkaloid places significant importance on collaborating with regional and international platforms.

Ivan Kostic, General Manager of Philip Morris Tutunski Kombinat Prilep; Aleksandra Ivanovska, General Manager of Roche Macedonia; and Dushan Mitrev, General Manager of Pivara Skopje, were also elected as members of AmCham’s Board of Directors at today's Annual Assembly.

The Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce focuses on promoting regional cooperation, as well as collaboration with key government institutions and the US Embassy. A crucial role of this Board is to motivate and encourage AmCham members to be the voice of the progressive business sector. AmCham’s network spans across Europe comprising 46 subsidiaries.
