A delegation from the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Skopje, headed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan, H.E. Satybaldy Burshakov, paid a working visit to ALKALOID AD Skopje.

During the official opening remarks, Mr. Zhivko Mukaetov, CEO and President of the Management Board, introduced the company, highlighting its core activities, manufacturing facilities and portfolio. He emphasized the company's performance, operation results, and capital investments made over the years. Additionally, he underscored the company's ongoing community efforts encompassing numerous projects dedicated to social responsibility and environmental protection.

The meeting largely focused on business cooperation and Alkaloid's efforts in Kazakhstan, where it recently registered a new capitally-related company, Alkaloid Kazakhstan LLC, being its first subsidiary in Asia. This company’s establishment presents a tremendous opportunity to capitalize on the immense potential of selling pharmaceutical products in this market, valued at nearly 2 billion euros annually. With a population of 19.6 million, Kazakhstan has the strongest economy in Central Asia. Alkaloid’s portfolio in Kazakhstan will initially consists of antibiotics and nutritional supplements for pregnant women. The company’s future plans involve broadening its product assortment and presence into other countries within this region of interest. The Kazakhstan subsidiary, based in the city of Almaty, marks Alkaloid’s 26th capitally-related company. The expansion into the Asian continent is consistent with the company's key strategic objectives, including its strong focus on export growth, and the globalization of the Alkaloid brand.
