A German economic delegation, consisting of representatives of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs of Germany and German companies, the vice-president of the "BASF Central and South-Eastern Europe" group and senior representatives of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Skopje, paid a working visit to "Alkaloid" AD Skopje. 

At the meeting, hosted by the CEO and President of the Management Board of "Alkaloid", Mr. Zhivko Mukaetov, the representatives of the German economic delegation had the opportunity to follow a presentation that included the achieved results of the operation of "Alkaloid", as one of the most successful pharmaceutical companies in South-Eastern Europe, its placements, production portfolio and business operations. During the meeting, the large number of investments that the company has continuously realized over the years, the export activities and the social responsibility policy, which are part of the nine-decade continuity of the success story of "Alkaloid", were presented.

Within the framework of the working meeting, special emphasis was put on the long-standing successful cooperation of "Alkaloid" with German companies. As one of the company's fast-growing export markets, Germany is of particular strategic importance and it is a market where "Alkaloid" achieved placements of 3,014,328 euros in 2022, recording a growth of 6.6% compared to 2021. A special review was given to the three-decade strategic cooperation of "Alkaloid" with the company "BASF", a European multinational chemical company and the largest chemical producer in the world, which is considered one of the most reliable partners of "Alkaloid". As a company with the highest confidence in terms of raw material quality and following the needs of our company, "BASF" is a supplier of raw materials in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and chemical segments. 

During the tour of the production facilities of the pharmaceutical segment and the Research and Development Institute, the guests expressed satisfaction with the high level of readiness and expertise of the human capital that manages the processes, as well as with the high level of technological equipment of the facilities, where a large part of the installed equipment is supplied by German manufacturers.

The CEO and President of the Management Board of "Alkaloid" AD Skopje, Mr. Zhivko Mukaetov expressed his gratitude for the honor and for the opportunity to present the work and business operations of the company to those present, emphasizing the importance of this meeting for further deepening of bilateral cooperation.

Acting Ambassador of FR Germany, Mr. Otto Graf expressed his gratitude for the visit and the warm hospitality, noting that through this working meeting he was convinced of the size, success and organization of one of the companies that are the pillars of the Macedonian economy.
