In the beginning of 2006, Alkaloid AD Skopje created its own branch Alkaloid USA in New Albany, Ohio. This business endeavor was preceded by successful long business and technical cooperation with renowned companies from the USA, such as Pfizer from New York and Merck Sharp and Dohme (MSD), established as early as 1956.  

Alkaloid AD Skopje at the moment has in its portfolio several medicines whose production is licensed by reputed American pharmaceutical companies and also marketing authorizations for pharmaceutical preparations from US producers in the Republic of Macedonia.

Out of all business ventures in the USA, Alkaloid is particularly proud of patenting the technology for production of Novamorph medicine in 2003, as well as of the intense cooperation with renowned AVEDA, a member of Estee Lauder Group, concerning the production of organic teas, which began in 2005 and has continued successfully until the present.

In June this year Alkaloid began to cooperate with another famous American company - Arbonne International for whose purposes the company produces detoxification tea intended for their markets in the USA, Canada, United Kingdom and Pacific region.
The Ambassador Wohlers recognized the development of Alkaloid on local and foreign markets and wished the company further progress and success.
