The Consulate of the Kingdom of Norway formally started operation today, June 29, 2023, in the premises of Alkaloid AD Skopje, at the Avtokomanda site.

Mr. Zhivko Mukaetov, who has also held the position of Consul General of the Kingdom of Denmark for 16 years, was appointed Consul of the Kingdom of Norway in Skopje.

On the occasion of the opening ceremony, Mr. Eivind Vad Petersson, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries in his speech, by highlighting:

"Let us remember that strength lies in unity and that progress can be achieved through joint ventures. Let the Honorary Consulate of Norway in Skopje be the basis for our friendship to continue to grow and for our partnership to stand the test of time."

The ceremony was attended by representatives from the superior Embassy of Norway in Belgrade, representatives of the diplomatic and consular corps, representatives of the Government of the Republic of N. Macedonia, representatives of the business community, and the media.
