Alkaloid awarded with two plaques for significant investment actions by Macedonian chamber of commerce

Alkaloid was awarded a plaque, as recognition for its investment activities abroad, and with another one, as recognition for its investments in new production facilities in Macedonia in a period of crisis, as part of the ceremony marking 91 years since the establishment of the Macedonian Chamber of Commerce, which dedicated special attention this year to companies and management brave enough to invest in the period of crisis from 2008 until today.

In spite of the crisis faced by the world economy over the past four years, Alkaloid did not cease investing in its business operations in the country and abroad. Since 2008 until today, Alkaloid made investments in the amount of nearly 19 million euro in Macedonia, primarily intended for modernization of its technical-technological processes and facilities, building and equipping a new institute for development and quality control, while investing significant funds in the company’s information technology infrastructure as well. In addition to the investments at home, Alkaloid invested over 2 million euro to open its first production facility outside Macedonia in the Republic of Serbia, as well as in its business operations in Serbia, Slovenia, Ukraine and Russia.

At the ceremony of officially marking 91 years since the establishment of the Chamber of Commerce of Macedonia and awarding the plaques to Alkaloid AD – Skopje, the General Manager and Management Board President of the company, Mr. Zhivko Mukaetov announced potential opening of company offices in the Republic of Turkey, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

“Macedonian companies have a potential to invest abroad, but they need to know the markets as each is specific in its own way. Investment opportunities open up with the right information, people and knowledge. That is precisely what always brings success at the end of the day”, said Mukaetov in his address.
