ALKALOID launched a new project of strategic importance in the Pharmacy Profit Center, which is a primary and strategic pillar of the company.

AlkaMES is a project of crucial importance for process management, full digitalization and automation of manufacturing processes with automatic data collection from manufacturing equipment and paperless operation. ANTSolutions from Poland was chosen to be our partner in the implementation of this project. This is a company with extensive experience in automation systems and with more than 600 implementations in 35 countries, operating for more than 17 years on several continents.

As an exceptional tool for improving operation results, this system (software and hardware) aims at full digitalization of the manufacturing process by upgrading and integrating existing operations, automating manufacturing processes and equipment, applying new modules (including Room Management, Container Management, Resource Management), integrating the existing systems AlkaSAP ERP, AlkaT&T (Track&Trace) and BMS (Building Management System), AlkaMOS (Maintenance Operating System) and AlkaOEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), upgrading the planning system, as well as fully electronically managing production deviations. In addition, AlkaMES will significantly improve overall efficiency, enabling for valuable resources and time to be saved during data collection, monitoring and controlling the processes in real time, and making correct and timely decisions based on accurate and up-to-date information. The implementation processes are properly regulated from the planning to the realization of this extensive project, considering that the system is in full compliance with the highest pharmaceutical standards, ensuring stability, safety and controlled access.

The official start of the AlkaMES (Alkaloid Manufacturing Execution System) project, worth over 1 million euro, was announced at the initial meeting, held on July 18, 2023. The CEO and MB President of ALKALOID AD Skopje, Mr. Zhivko Mukaetov, officially marked the beginning of the project with his address, stressing the main benefits and goals from the project and welcoming the project team which consists of over 80 members, representatives of ALKALOID and the partner company, divided into nine teams. These are top experts with proven experience and are dedicated professionals in their field. According to the timeframe, the pilot project will be implemented by the end of the first quarter of 2024, and the full project will be completed in the first quarter of 2025.
