AmCham representatives pay an official visit to Alkaloid

A delegation of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), headed by the CEOs of the organizations in Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania and Montenegro, paid an official visit to Alkaloid AD Skopje on September 17 of this year.

The AmCham CEOs in these four countries—Mrs. Michelle Osmanli (Macedonia), Mr. Arian Zeka (Kosovo), Mr. Lorenz Gjoni (Albania) and Mrs. Milica Dragojević (Montenegro)—paid a visit to the company in order to see its performance results, its placement on the market and its production portfolio.

Alkaloid has been a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Macedonia since 2000 and, as a company, it has had a long-lasting successful cooperation with the United States of America, where in 2006 it established its own subsidiary Alkaloid USA, based in New Albany, Ohio. This business venture was preceded by a successful business and technical cooperation with renowned companies from the USA, such as Pfizer from New York and Merck Sharp and Dohme, established back in 1956.

In Alkaloid’s current portfolio there are several medicinal products produced under the license of renowned American pharmaceutical companies, as well as marketing authorizations for representing pharmaceutical products from American manufacturers in Macedonia. Of its business ventures in the USA, Alkaloid is particularly proud of patenting the technology for the production of the Novamorf medicinal product in 2003, as well as of the intense cooperation with the renowned AVEDA, member of the Estee Lauder Group, in the area of producing organic teas, which began in 2005 and has been operating successfully ever since. Regarding botanicals, in 2011 Alkaloid established a successful cooperation with two other American companies, Arbon International and Swanson, specialized in the production and distribution of teas and natural remedies.
