Composition

Citikol B eye drops are a sterile solution, medical device class IIa and they contain:

• 2% citicoline sodium salt;

• 0.2% hyaluronic acid;

• 0.05% cyanocobalamine (vitamin B12) and

• 0.01% benzalkonium chloride.

The solution has pH of 6.3-6.7.

Action

Citicoline helps in repairing damaged cell membranes of the retinal ganglion cells and optic nerve head.

Hyaluronic acid helps to improve the stability of the tear film, thus keeping the surface of the eye lubricated, moisturized and protected.

Cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) has a beneficial effect on the growth of epithelial cells in the cornea and protects the cells from free radicals.

Use

• Glaucoma patients (in addition to standard hypotensive therapy) and

• Patients with diabetic retinopathy.

Adults: One drop in the affected eye, 3 times a day.
