The scholarship in the amount of 6,500 denars is granted for a period of 12 months. Pursuant to the public call for competition which has been announced, the selection of scholarship holders for the current academic year has been made by the Managing Board of the Foundation, after having previously obtained a preliminary list proposed by the committees for granting scholarships. Provided that they meet the requirements which are set out, the scholarship holders shall have their scholarships extended for the following academic year. The Board granting the scholarships is composed of representatives of the Foundation, the two faculties, as well as of representatives of the students.

„"The Managing Board has worked strictly in compliance with the student selection procedure and after having received the thorough analyses of the committees of both faculties, we have decided, instead of 40, to grant 42 scholarships due to the scoring criteria which resulted in overlap of the scores reached by some of the candidates from the Faculty of Medicine. On this occasion, I would like to emphasise that it is a great honour for us, as members of the MB of the Foundation, to be able to help in some way and to encourage our former scholarship holders to graduate. The trend of providing employment at "Alkaloid" to successful students after their graduation will, in no doubt, continue in future,” underlined the President of the Foundation and Managing Director/ President of the MB of “Alkaloid”, Mr. Zhivko Mukaetov.

According to the programme policies for support of young and ambitious professionals who have dedicated their careers to the Macedonian healthcare and pharmaceutical sector, as of the academic year 2009/2010, "Trajche Mukaetov" Foundation also grants a one-off award for the best student of the generation from the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Pharmacy at Ss Cyril and Methodius University, which this year amounted to EUR 1,200 in Macedonian denars. Winners of this award were Emilija Lazova from the Faculty of Pharmacy, having obtained a grade point average of 9.84 and Sandra Gjorgova from the Faculty of Medicine, having obtained a grade point average of 9.89.

Starting from the academic year 2007/2008, the Foundation has granted 264 scholarships to students of pharmacy and medicine, including the new 42 scholarships in the academic year 2013/2014. Out of the total number of scholarship holders, 82 students of pharmacy and 51 students of medicine have already graduated. As of 2009, 17 holders of scholarships granted by the Foundation have started their career at Alkaloid AD Skopje in the departments within the production segment of Pharmacy.
