Composition

Diastop Probio is a probiotic which contains four strains of lactic acid bacteria:

• Lactobacillus acidophilus LA-5TM;

• Streptococcus thermophilus STY-31TM;

• Bifidobacterium BB-12TM;

• Lactobacillus delbrueckii LBY-27TM.

Action

Lactic acid bacteria are normally present in the small and large intestine. They maintain the acid-base balance, which is essential for normal functioning of the enzymes in the digestion process, for the immune system and for intestinal peristalsis. Additionally, they prevent excessive growth of harmful bacteria.

Use

Diastop Probio capsules are used for prevention and additional treatment of diarrhea, meteorism (flatulence) and other abdominal disorders which occur due to imbalance of intestinal microflora. Such conditions include:

• bacterial and viral gastro-intestinal infections in infants, children and adults (e.g. rotaviral infections, travel-related diarrhea);

• treatments with broad spectrum antibiotics and chemotherapeutics;

• radiation of abdominal and pelvic organs.
